The Church At Pergamum

This Sunday, we will be hearing Jesus words to the Church at Pergamum and his commendation for how the church had endured the continuing persecution while holding on to their faith. We will hear of another Martyr, Antipas who was brutally put to death in the City, and through his death helped others to stay strong. But, Jesus also had some criticism of the church as they were being called to repent from being drawn away by the false teaching and immorality that was prevelant in their city. Once again, Jesus gives them the opportunity to make changes before it was too late and the light would go out for the Church.
