Pastor headed home.

Pastor managed to push out one last email today before heading home.  Please ask the Lord to grant travelling mercies on his journey. Six more hours and I am coming your way! One last time I thought that I would post. Unfortunately, I can’t get internet right now. Therefore, I am sending these pictures (or at least putting them in my outbox) in case I get internet in the next few hours. Perhaps I will see you before this e-mail…

Arrival In Bombay

Hello To My Church Family, It was so hard to say good bye to my special friends in Aurangabad. It has been a wonderful two weeks with them. From the youngest generation (Vipul and Jewan) to Vinay & Jyotsna, and to Vinay’s precious parents, the days were filled with many great conversatiions and experiences. My life has been blessed by this trip. Thank you. I flew back to Mumbai tonight. I plan to visit some sites in this large city…

Another Village Church and The Aurangabad Zoo

Hello Church Family, Today was the last full day for me to be in Aurangabad. Vinay and I left early to drive about 3 hours to go to a small village to visit one of his Pastors and some of his Church Members. A couple of pictures are attached of them. This is Pastor Deva. It was a blessed time to talk thorugh Vinay to a group of about 20 Village People. They were very curious, laughed hard at my…

A Good Day Visiting Churches In India

Greetings Dear Friends, We visited two remote village areas where Nazarene Churches are working. We had a wonderful service of worship at Gogalaon with Pastor Nelish Patil. Good lunch of goat and other unidentified items. After that, I took a motor cycle ride to the village of Newasa where Pastor Karbhari Chowan is trying to build a church. They are currently meeting in a 10 X 12 Room for worship (a lot of them!) and they want to build a…

The Ancient Hindu Caves and The 14th Century Fort

We visited a couple very old places today, both in the Aurangabad Area. The Fort was built in the 14th Century. Its massive walls and structures are very amazing. Aurangabad was the Political and Military Center of India for several centuries.. All around the city are large Stone Gates and remembrances of an old dynasty. There are two famous ancient caves in the area. Today we visited the Hindu Caves with a mountainside of temples carved out of the rocks…

A Day With The Pastors and Their Wives In India!

What a joyful day I have had. I spent about 8 hours with 30 or so Pastors and their wives at a Nazarene Church about 3 Hours from Aurangabad. The trip their and back was very educational (A few pictues attached). But what was so special to me about today was the enjoyment of talking to (through an interpreter) some dear brothers and sisters in Christ who live and minister in such a different culture than I do. I found…

Taj Mahal

Actually, this is the smaller version of the Taj Mahal which was built around 1639, modeled after (but on a much smaller scale) the real thing in the city of Agra, which is about 450 Miles North of Aurangabad. It is an Islamic Holy Place. The Fountains are empty because of the drought. The lack of rain during the recent Rainy season is a devastating blow to this area. You can see the misery all around, such as with paltry…
