Everyone is busy in their gardens this season of the year. Without the ground, a garden cannot grow. Neither can our souls without our spiritual bedrock-the Bible. It is here, through the words of God Himself, that we encounter Christ at life’s very core. It is here where we surrender our souls to His tender tools. Where He tills, waters, and wills us to grow until our mustard seed faith shoots forth branches that bear His image and beckon others to come rest in His shade. Reflections by Thomas Kinkade.
6/4- Youth Group going to Knoebel’s. Meet @ the youth house by 9:45am & depart @ 10:00am. Arrive back @ youth house approx. 9:30pm. Lunch & $10.00 in tickets is provided. Bring money for Supper/snacks & other rides.
6/5- All scheduled Sunday School classes will meet @ 9:00am. During our combined service @ 10:30am, we will be honoring our graduates and also our Caravan class that will be receiving the Phineas F. Bresee award. Pastor Shane will be sharing “Transitions and the Snare of Idols.” Evening service @ 6:00pm.
6/6- School’s Out Celebration 9:30am-8:00pm, under the direction of Caterina Bartholomew, Children’s Ministry Director. With questions contact Caterina @ 570-966-9663.
6/8, 15, & 29- 7:00pm- Adult Bible Study in the Fellowship Hall, Youth Group @ the youth house, & Kids’ Summer Program in the sanctuary.
6/9- Church Board Meeting @ 7:00pm
6/12- Regular schedule of services @ 9:00am & 10:30am. Sunday School classes meet @ 9:00am & 10:30am. Pastor Krell will be sharing about “The Pure In Heart.” @ 6:00pm we will be showing the DVD “War Room.” Invite family & friends for this DVD on the power of Prayer.
6/14- Widows, Widowers, Single Seniors, & Caregivers will be going to Two Sisters Amish Restaurant in Turbotville, leaving from the church @ 10:30am. They will be returning to the fellowship hall for a fun game of “Bingo.” With questions contact Betty Troutman-Miller @ 570-966-0112. All reservations must be made to Betty by Sunday, June 5th.
6/18- Teen Fundraiser- Food Stand @ a public auction. Also, VBS Set-up.
6/19-Regular Schedule of services in the AM. The Pastor Krell will be sharing, “The Fatherhood of God.” We will not be having an evening service.
6/20-24- VBS begins from 6:30-8:30 each evening. This year’s theme is “Cave Quest.” To register your child for VBS go on line @ www.miffnaz.org.
6/22- Teen Fun Day @ Delgrosso Water Park. Meet @ 9:15am & return @ 4:00pm. If you help with VBS your ticket is free. If not helping @ VBS, the cost is half, ($16.00)
6/24- Teens, Option 1- Applebee’s, Option 2- Flix on the lawn.
6/26- VBS closing service during our combined service @ 10:30am. Evening service @ 6:00pm. Teen Hangtime @ Brooks & Nancy Zechman
